We are Astrome, an Indian space technology company. Our goal is to provide high speed broadband internet from space. To achieve this, we are developing next generation technologies that will have high impact on the lives of people. High-speed broadband which is currently limited to urban areas, will be made location independent by our Advanced High Throughput Satellites (HTS).  Through this, we hope to develop an ecosystem that can make quality education, healthcare and government services more accessible over internet.  We are incubated at the Indian Institute of Science, India’s premier research institute.

INNOVATING TECHNOLOGY TO BRING HIGH SPEED BROADBAND INTERNET TO YOU

Our first set of high capacity satellites are scheduled to be launched in 2019. They will form a mini-constellation in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and start providing regular, yet reliable, broadband connectivity. A year later, in 2020, a lot more satellites will enter LEO and form a full fledged constellation of high capacity satellites, guaranteeing continuous and reliable broadband connectivity to users on earth.

Skills Required:

The candidate must have experience in the following:

  1. Strong mathematical background.
  2. Strong background in Orbital and Attitude Dynamics,
  3. Strong background in Probability and Estimation theory
  4. Understanding of system modeling techniques
  5. Knowledge about rigid body dynamics
  6. Hands-on experience working with sensors and actuators
  7. Hand-on experience implementing control algorithm
  8. Knowledge about various subsystems of satellite
  9. Hands-on experience designing one or more subsystem of a satellite
  10. Experience doing system trade-off studies
  11. Computational methods to simulate system models in Software
  12. Strong conceptual understanding of concepts in physics, electrical engineering, electronics engineering and astrodynamics

Experience Requirement:

The candidate must have a Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Aerospace Engineering or allied fields. Candidates with 3-4 year of industry experience are preferred.

b) RF system tools such as HFSS, EMPro, ADS, AWR, etc.
c) Thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of RF systems to model systems realistically, and implement.
d) Good knowledge of high frequency (mm-wave, above 30GHz) system design, the best practices, do’s and don’ts.
e) Schematic and Layout with tools such as KiCad, OrCad, etc.
f) Design and implementation of array antennae.
g) High-speed ADC/DAC systems design with good understanding of standards such as JESD204.
h) Understanding of fabrication related systems including wirebonding, etc.

2. Good working knowledge of baseband algorithms and systems.

Experience Required:

1. 6-8 years of experience in RF and antenna systems design, in industry.
2. Technical leadership experience for 3-4 years.

Qualifications Required:

At least Masters in relevant areas covering signal processing, linear algebra, RF and antenna systems.
