About Us

We are Astrome, an Indian space technology company. Our goal is to provide high speed broadband internet from space. To achieve this, we are developing next generation technologies that will have high impact on the lives of people. High-speed broadband which is currently limited to urban areas, will be made location independent by our Advanced High Throughput Satellites (HTS).  Through this, we hope to develop an ecosystem that can make quality education, healthcare and government services more accessible over internet.  We are incubated at the Indian Institute of Science, India’s premier research institute.

INNOVATING TECHNOLOGY TO BRING HIGH SPEED BROADBAND INTERNET TO YOU

Our first set of high capacity satellites are scheduled to be launched in 2019. They will form a mini-constellation in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and start providing regular, yet reliable, broadband connectivity. A year later, in 2020, a lot more satellites will enter LEO and form a full fledged constellation of high capacity satellites, guaranteeing continuous and reliable broadband connectivity to users on earth.

Internship / Part Time Positions

We are looking for motivated individual to join our team for a two months internship /  contract position. The job description is as follows.

1. C++ coding
2. FPGA interfacing with CPU (AXI bus, etc.)
3. Thorough understanding of bus interfaces of SPI, I2C, etc.
4. Verilog/VHDL programming
5. Understanding of Vivado and Vivado HLS, is a big plus

Full Time Positions

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team. The job description is as follows.

1. 5-6 years of experience in baseband systems design, in industry.

2. Technical leadership experience for 2-3 years.
3. Hands-on skills in
   a) C++, Python
   b) FPGA
   c) Baseband algorithms for digital processing (coding, modulation, filters, etc.)
   d) High-data rate processing architectures (multi-Gbps) is a big plus.
   e) Embedded system architectures and protocols such as SPI, I2C, etc.
   f) Linux OS architecture, driver development and system programming
4. Good working knowledge of RF systems.
5. Experience in handling array antennae.
6. Qualifications: Atleast Masters in relevant areas covering signal processing, linear algebra, digital and embedded systems.
We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team. The job description is as follows.
1. 6-8 years of experience in RF and antenna systems design, in industry.
2. Technical leadership experience for 3-4 years.
3. Hands-on skills in
   a) C++, Python, Octave
   b) RF system tools such as HFSS, EMPro, ADS, AWR, etc.
   c) Thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of RF systems to model systems realistically, and implement.
   d) Good knowledge of high frequency (mm-wave, above 30GHz) system design, the best practices, do’s and don’ts.
   e) Schematic and Layout with tools such as KiCad, OrCad, etc.
   f) Design and implementation of array antennae.
   g) High-speed ADC/DAC systems design with good understanding of standards such as JESD204.
   h) Understanding of fabrication related systems including wirebonding, etc.
4. Good working knowledge of baseband algorithms and systems.
5. Qualifications: At least Masters Degree in relevant fields. Also, expertise in linear algebra, complex algebra, digital signal processing.

1. 6-8 years of experience in MMIC design and implementation in industry.
2. Technical leadership experience for 3-4 years.
3. Hands-on skills in
   a) C++, Python, Octave
   b) MMIC design tools such as ADS, AWR, etc.
   c) Thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of RF systems to model systems realistically, and implement.
   d) Good knowledge of high frequency (mm-wave, above 30GHz) system design, the best practices, do’s and don’ts.
   e) Understanding of high frequency semi-conductors such as GaAs, SiGe, InP, etc., and corresponding technologies such HEMT, pHEMT, etc.
   f) Design and implementation of SIP (System In Packages), with detailed modeling and analysis.
   g) High-speed ADC/DAC systems design with good understanding of standards such as JESD204.
4. Good working knowledge of baseband algorithms and systems.
5. Qualifications: Atleast Masters in relevant areas covering signal processing, linear algebra, VLSI, MMIC, RF and antenna systems.
